Hi,

A long time ago I was diagnosed with "moderate" sleep apnea. My apneic episodes per hour during the inital polysomnography were about 20.

The symptoms I had which prompted me to find out what was wrong with me were that I was sleeping 12 hours average per night, waking up with morning headaches very often, and just feeling plain lousy on waking in the mornings, even after 8+ hours of sleep. The diagnostic data downloaded from the CPAP unit indicated that my apneic episodes were being corrected by the machine. The problem is though, that even using the CPAP for several months (3-4) I have noticed no improvement whatsoever in the way I feel upon wakening. When I wake up in the morning I feel awful, and it takes 5-6 hours to feel much like doing anything. My concentration and memory are significantly impaired as well.

Anyway, I was wondering if there is anything else that I should look into as far as this goes. Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance for any replies!
