Every now & then I will wake up and I will see an object floating through the room. I have seen all kinds of things and they are usually things I have never seen before in my life. I have seen an object the size of a bit of bread but covered with computer chip looking stuff. This was floating behind my bed. I have seen a huge bunch of sticks tied with rope go flying through the room. I don't often see people but when I do they just stand there staring at me until they disintergrate. The objects will also disintergrate after a bit.
I have woken seeing a white cat staring at me, so I got out of bed, turned on the light and opened the bedroom door to let it out, but it was gone. I then realised that we didn't own a white cat but a tabby one. We used to have 2 white cats!!!
I have seen a small ball shaped thing with spikes sticking out all over it. That was the first thing I ever saw. It scared me so much I could not sleep the next night thinking it would come back. This was when I was 20, I am now 32.
Sometimes at night I see shadows moving in the room so I turn of the lamp beside me and of course it is not there anymore.
They mostly seem to go from the left to the right. Unless it is a person. The people do not move.
Seeing these things do not bother me anymore, but I wonder what it could be. A waking dream. If so, I must be dreaming the strangest dream about objects that I have never seen before.
I am told my grandfather had visions. And my uncle sees things as well.
I was wondering if I am the only person who sees these things. If anyone has, please let me know.

- Well this may sound abit off the wall for an answer , but what about contacting a person that does Hypnosis(sp?)sessions and see if they can bring these same reactions out of you while being under.
I have a story that is true that I can tell , a Yakima indian woman was killed in a car accident in the 1920's or 30's , and her body washed away down the small stream never to be found where her car crashed.
This is on hwy #97 south west of Toppenish Washington
near Satus Pass.
From time to time people driving that stretch of road at night see her by the creek in her white dress houvering over the bridge and creek.
I had an aquaintaince that owned a cattle ranch right by the bridge where this accident occured , and so one night my husband and I spent the night there , and we were awakened by our pickup truck with Canopy being violently shaken from both ends of the truck.
We could see NO one out there.
We crawled out of the back of the Canopy and there by the bridge was this Indian woman in a white flowing dress houvering over the creek by the bridge , and then she just vanished.
That scared me and my husband so bad , we left our friends place in the middle of the night.
At the top of the Hill coming out of Toppenish washington is a memorial tribute on Hyw # 97 .
It is a tribute to this indian woman that died such a horrible death. The Yakima Indian Community bring gifts and such things to keep this woman's ghost at rest , so she will not houver over the creek and bridge at night.
This is a true story and I would take a Lie detectors test to prove I saw what I saw. > A Ghost *

- Hi LazyCat and Glenda,
How do I put this....there is SO MUCH MORE to life than what we can see and touch. I believe your story Glenda, chills ran through me and I knew.
LazyCat.. all that we have known and loved in our lives will always be a part of Self, wherever that Self may be (in this dimension or level of time or another) we are given opportunities to unite. Those that are special (everyone has a sense...some practice and have better sense...and others can sense special) http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/wink.gif
Now that you are unafraid of seeing these things... Try talking to them and asking questions. Just sit quietly and if you meditate, great...if not, try focusing or just relaxing and concentrating on each breath you take in, and out. Think of something or nothing at all. Before you start, voice your intent that you want to (find out...ask for...want to see... whatever it is you want) and begin. Be open to what you see and hear. Make sure you feel safe and comfortable...this is why they disappear or appear 'disconnected', if they were 'solid' or more real--it would freak people out! hehe
Also...moving left to right, one reason could be related to the left and right hemispheres of the brain. Left is logical, right is creativity and intuition. Not sure why I mention that...but, well, guess I was supposed to. http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/biggrin.gif hehe
I was rather curious about the huge bunch of sticks tied up with rope. So I did a little research (I kept coming back to the rope). One thing I found was the rope could indicate Kundalini power, or life force. Strands of the rope represent intertwined physical, mental and spiritual being which is strengthened each time one meditates. Lifeline. The sticks (of wood) represents aliveness that can be molded or shaped into new form. I'm thinking...if you haven't done any meditation before, you should really give it a try. You have a gift.
I wish you light and love in your journey.

- Hopefully you have a spiritual connection to God in heaven. Evil forces can give us visions also. Remember *******/***** can transform himself into an angel of light. You must ask for protection from God in heaven through Jesus Christ our lord, if you believe of them, which I hope you do, before you try anything with what your seeing. When you ask for protection you may not even see them anymore. If not hopefully you will get the guidance you need to work with it. The last resort would be a therapist if it's not spiritual.

- Thankyou for replying Glenda, Successtory and Simmer. I have been researching this on the internet and what I have come up with is that it may be something called Hypnogogic Hallucinations. Apparently a lot of people see stuff like I do!!!
A person I live with has told me that he has seen me in the night. He woke up and saw me just staring at him and then I disappeared. The strange thing about that was he said my hair was a lot shorter that it is now.
I am wondering if it is something in your subconscious which emerges while sleeping and give your hallucinations. This might explain why the version he saw of me had shorter hair. Maybe it was his memory of me.
I have spoken once to a person I have seen standing near my bed. The person I saw I was also living with at the time and she was down the hallway in another bedroom. I said to her "Is everything OK?". I said this because I thought something may be wrong, why else would she be there. She did not say anything back. Just disintergrated until nothing.
I have woken and screamed and leaped from my side of the bed over the top of my fiancee to get away from something I just knew was evil standing next to the bed. I moved so fast.
I believe there is something out there that some people call God. I do not know if it the God from the Bible or something else. I grew up in a religious family but now I am not sure about all of that. I have found too many questions that cannot be answered. eg - aliens and ufos. Religion does not explain this only that it must be from ***** because it does not mention it in the bible. Things are just not black & white - what about the grey areas?
Thank you

- Oooooh Lazycat,
This is a tender subject, indeed. We all have our beliefs and faith. So I won't go into any of that. But what I can do is say that you are on the right track. If you take away all the names and places in any religious tome...you will get the basics of the story that seems to ring true throughout time.
A universal energy of love (or God, Buddha, Mohammed, etc.) is your 'good'. A universal energy of hate (***** and all the other names that have been given). There are powers we do not understand...and should not. Because you will become one of those 'icons', an angel or a devil. The good or bad incarnate so-to-speak. You know in one of the Star Wars trilogy when the Death Star blew up a planet and (what's his name-Obi ...) froze and became really sad and said "it is like a million voices screamed all at once and then there was silence". Life is energy. Energy comes in many, many forms and dimensions. So goes life.
That's it for now...tis enough if you read through a few times. Keep asking questions and trying to find YOUR answers. Your dreams will be a key to this mystery. Keep a journal. Take care.

- Successtory - you are spot on.
I keep an open mind and try to get as much information as possible.
I don't want to upset anyone, but at this moment I think that it should not be necessary to belong to any particular religion. I believe that if you are basically a good person, and do not hurt any person or animals, then you are doing what you should be doing on this earth.
I have being trying to meditate in the early hours of the morning which I was told was the best time. I am going to have to get out of bed I think because I keep falling back to sleep!!! Ha Ha

- Hi lazycat ~
http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/biggrin.gif you are on a good road there, and keep up the good work. It IS belief and faith. http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/angel.gif as long as you do and have it...you will be OK. Take what you believe and start going further (oh...there is so much more). It's cool, 'cause it's never-ending...the question, the search, the learning, the sharing, the knowledge, the love, the belief and faith... that I know.
Keep your journals and don't forget to go back to re-read them once in a while http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif Take care...

- Hi, this link my shed a little light on your problem..... hope it helps. http://www.rnib.org.uk/info/cbsfin.htm#9; Sat, 15 Dec 2007 12:14:00 GMT

- lazycat...
I have been waking up lately to see people in my room -walking by, or sitting by my bed. I seem to be fully awake when i see them, and they terrify me. I usually start screaming upon waking. One time I woke up to see this weird square shaped spider on my pillow.
I just posted my story under the title "night terrors", as i recently came across a site that explained the phenomenom as night terrors. there were testimonials on the site and the stories sounded a lot like yours.
http://www.nightterrors.org/
That is the site.. check it out and tell me what you think.

- Thank you for this links Starter & Hesper.
Not sure about the C B Syndrome as my eyesight is great - was tested 6 months ago. And I have been seeing things for over 10 years.
The night terrors is an interesting read. It is not so terrifying anymore. I usually wake up now and see what I see and think to myself "oh, i'm just seeing this again" - wait till is disappears and I go straight back to sleep.
Sometimes I won't remember I saw something until a day or week later and it comes back to me.

- Lazycat, I might be a couple months late here, but...
You didn't say anything about sleeping a lot, but you did post in a forum for sleep disorders...any chance you have one? Like narcolepsy, sleep apnea, etc.?
I get something like you describe (hypnagogic hallucinations) and sometimes something else called sleep paralysis when I get reeeeeally tired. I guess narcolepsy is the usual suspect, but in my case it was sleep apnea. If you're having an incredibly hard time staying awake during the day, you should definitely see a doctor ASAP.

No, I don't think I have any sleeping disorders other than what I previously typed. I do get tired at work, but I think that is just normal as I am usually by myself and it is very quiet.
The strange thing is when I see these objects, they seem to make sense even though I have never seen them before, ever. Sometimes I won't remember much but I know I have seen something but not sure what.
Sometimes I faintly see and mainly sense something evil beside by bed and I scream, turn on the beside light and it's gone.
Once I was lying in bed with by boyfriend and I woke up and turned to head to the right and there was my boyfriend's face close to mine and he was smiling which made me happy. I reached out to touch him and my hand went through his face!! He then started to disintergrate into nothing. I looked to my left and my boyfriend was still in bed!! I then heard in the room or in my head "I Love You". I then tried to wake him up to tell him, but he wouldn't wake up!!!!
That would be the best Night Terror I have ever had!!!!

- Hi lazycat. I happened to come across your post (and this website) by typing into yahoo "Waking up screaming".
When I read your post, I was absolutely mortified.
I have seen the spiky black orb. It was right after a woke up, I had an Urge to wake up, and i saw it, i saw it watching me as i slept... did it look like it was being boiled on fast-forward?
I am 16, and i would like some advice on how to deal with this. I was absolutely horrified at the thought of this thing watching me as i sleep.
I have also had dreams of aliens, killing aliens, hiding from them, and being abducted by them. I had no prior interest in the subject until i started having these dreams. Makes me shiver just thinking about them.. I had another dream today where I was, in my dreams, being suggested that i was in the middle of an abduction... I saw a flash of two... black...eyes.. that instantly (maybe even supernaturally) evoked a feeling of EXTREME terror (I really dont think I couldve possibly been more scared).
I woke up, screaming bloody murder, and the this was, I wasnt controlling the screaming... It was just emmitting from me. Naturlly , i couldnt sleep the rest of the night...

- Hello WRHaxen
WOW !!! You too. You are the 2nd person that has seen this that I know of. I too woke up suddenly to see this dark object moving slowly in my room. I believe it was about 15cm in diameter, possibly smaller. I believe there was a ball shape at the centre with spikes sticking out from it in all directions. I was so freaked out about it that I couldn't sleep. I had the covers up to my nose and my eyes peering out over the top!!! About a week or so later I saw it again. I have never seen it again but ever since I have been seeing other things, objects and people.
The other person who has seen it was my boyfriends friends mother. I was telling this guy what I saw and he said his mother sees it all the time. Apparently she waits up at night for it to come so she can then go to bed!!!
The strange thing is that we all visited his mother about 1 week before I first saw this thing. I wonder if it followed me home?
I am very interested in aliens and UFO's. My bookcase is full of books on this subject. I had no interest at all until I saw the cover of Whitley Strieber's book Communion. I do not think I have been abducted as I have no memories like you do.
I had come to the conclusion that it must be some kind of halucination, but if you have seen it and it is the same thing? What is it? I always had the impression that it was monitoring me.
WRHaxen, I do not know what you mean by "boiled on fast forward". Do you mean it was moving fast around your room?
My Uncle sees strange things. My deceased Grandfather kept an amazing journal. He was not a highly educated man but he would hear things in his head that told him to build this machine, some kind of spinning gravity thing. Then these men dressed in black came to his door and told him he had to stop!!!
It seams like your fears are coming out in your dreams. I don't know what to say to help you as I have no idea either. Nothing has hurt me. Just the occasional scream and fright.
How often do you dream like this? Are they dreams or hallucinations? Are you half awake?
I'm sorry I can't be of any more help.

- Lazycat,
I just stumbled onto this post by accident. I was doing research because last night I suddenly woke up to see a small black ball-shaped object with spikes sticking out of it. I quickly raised up and my first thought was it's some sort of remote alien probe. I didn't panic, but watched it move slowly to my right before exiting through the ceiling. The object seemed to be spinning, or wobbeling, in place and definitely hovering above my bed. My personal belief is that these objects are extra-dimensional and would have to use some sort of neutron shield to pass through solid matter.

- Hi lazycat
I had the same experience on Sunday night. It was up in the top right hand corner of my room just floating there. I awoke and just starred at it for around 30 seconds then got scared and hid under the covers. When i stuck my head back out it was gone it was like a black ball shape with spikes just floating there. The strange thing was i was totally awake well at least i'm sure i was. I couldn't sleep after that. I have had a few experiences before where i have woke and seen some strange objects watching me. But i just convinced myself i was not fully awake. Starting to doubt that now.
